Decades of experience,
managing municipal funds.

Ampersand Public Advisors is a specialized subsidiary of Ampersand Inc., focused entirely on the cash management and post-issuance compliance needs of public entities. Our team holds Series 50 and 54 licenses and is registered with the MSRB.

What guides us

Three principles
for public dollars.

Public funds carry an obligation to stakeholders that goes beyond return. Our work is measured by three tests, applied to every deposit and every filing we execute.

01

Safety.

Every dollar is placed into a federally insured institution. The AmpersandAlign™ Deposit Program is managed to satisfy pass-through deposit insurance requirements, so your funds are protected across the entire network.

02

Liquidity.

Public entities need funds on time. Our programs are structured for next-day access, with maturity coordination that matches your draw schedule — not the other way around.

03

Return.

Competitive bidding across a broad network of insured institutions may provide access to rates not available through a single institution — without compromising on safety or liquidity.

Our team's experience

A short history.

Our team has worked alongside public depositors for nearly three decades — first from inside the bank, then directly beside the public entities themselves.

  1. 1997
Serving public depositors from inside the bank

Working with public depositors at the bank level — operating accounts, Tax Anticipation Notes (TANs), Bond Anticipation Notes (BANs) and reserve accounts.

  2. 2009 – 2022
    Trusted advisor to public entities

Working directly with public entities on bond proceeds — understanding their bank relationships and providing guidance on RFPs, bank pricing, day-to-day questions and coordination.

  3. Today
    Ampersand Public Advisors

That same experience, now delivered as a registered Municipal Advisor (MSRB #K1337) — with a nationwide network of 700+ insured institutions behind it.

The team

A focused,
licensed team.

Ampersand Public Advisors is intentionally small. Every engagement is led by a principal — with direct experience in public-entity finance and Series 50/54 licensing where the work requires it.
